Inserted Dvd Does Not Mount,

On my Emac, my DVD player shows up, but the inserted disc does not mount. I have tried several different ones.

I had that on G4 iMac, it turned out to be the DVD driver was close to death.

I am wondering if my DVD player ever worked at all. I have created DVDs and played those, but I don't thinkI have ever used the DVD player for a DVD not created on the Mac.
