On a mac pro since upgrade to SL unable to install Epson R800. Also have a Canon printer which installed without problem. After install of SL only driver for this printer was gutenprint. It was already a known that gutenprint did not work with this printer.
On 12/15 Epson provided updated driver. On install of this printer I could print but had no printer settings. So,no color controls, paper type etc.
Deleted printer, also deleted in Library/Printer/Epson and Library/Cache/Epson.
in sys.pref deleted printer and reset printer system, these at the advise of the local apple store 'genius bar person'.
Now the printer will not print. New suggestion from these guys was to run disk utility/repair disk permission. Did that, No problems listed but still same situation with printer.
Checking other forums it appears that printer setups with SL have been a problem but more so with Epson printers.
Anyone have any suggestions or solutions??
