I had previously installed Xcode from the Tiger DVD. I chose the easy installed.... I later re-ran the installer because I wanted to add the Java 1.4 documentation. The installer said that would require 74 meg. I looked in Finder before, and after to get the disk space used.
Before adding the Java Docs, I had 43.6 GB. After, I had 43.3...
I know there is a difference between reported size in GB and actual MB but .3GB seems like a ton of disk space for only a 74 meg install.
I in turn ran the installer again to add the cross development SDKs and noticed the same issue. The installer said it would be roughly 300 meg but Finder reported a ton more disk lost.
I tried running manually sudo periodic daily etc thinking log files or something but that didn't work.
Anyone seen this? I believe I noticed something similar under Panther too so maybe its just reported by finder wrong.
