Installed my iPod in my Jetta....

My latest ghetto mod: installing the iPod in my Jet.

The mini comes with this amazingly useless belt clip...
So I figured out a way to put it to use:

I removed the dummy switches, and then moved my hazard, rear defrost and fog light switch down. this was necessary to make room for the 1/8" jack that plugs in the top of the iPod.

I then used a dremel to remove some of the plastic from the back of the dash so that the belt clip would clip to the vertical plastic pieces that go between the switches.

The cable plugs right in the back of my head unit, and the iPod is easily viewable while driving, to switch songs or whatever.

how cool would it be if auto manufacturers started offering the option for an integrated ipod mount built into the stereo? it's coming. mark my words....

Hey, that's pretty cool there. I doubt something like that would fly very well in my old-school Camry, so it's cool to see it work for someone else.

I see Fahrv's hand... when will we get to see the rest of the Fahrv?
