Installing Gnome again ....

Ok so awhile ago I installed Gnome on 10.1, but have since reformatted my hard drive. I've installed XDarwin and am now trying to install Gnome. In Fink Commander yesterday I downloaded and installed the bundle-gnome package. It didn't seem to work so now I tried a "Reinstall" but Fink Commander hasn't been working unless I run it in the terminal. So anyway I get this error

Code:
checking for C compiler default output...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create
executables
### execution of ./configure failed, exit code 77
Failed: compiling audiofile-0.2.3-4 failed

Any help?

:edited for dumbness:

figured it out, I had installed the dev tools I borrowed from my teacher , they were the ones for 10.1 . I downloaded the right ones and so far so good.

:edit for more dumbness (spelling):
