installing office Mac 2008 on Mac X4.11

I recently bought 2008 by download. Now when I try to install I get "The following disk image failed to Mount" and inside the box a bunch of numbers and " Invalid Checksum."

Why through download and not the disk?

It is possible to redownload the disk image file, then do so.
