Check this out. I want to develope a site with a interactive band. I have four animated gif's (guitar, bass, drums, vocals) that I created in illustrator/imageready. I want to set it up so each gif plays when it is clicked on, then stopped when it is clicked the second time. And, of course, there will have to be sound going with it. All four gifs also need to be able to play at the same time.Can I do this with some sort of java applet, or other script? It seems pretty complex, Maybe even a link to something similar that's been put together so I can see how they did it. It is for a class at school so I have plenty of time, if someone could just point me in the right direction that would be great.

One of the very rare instances here...but I have to agree, use Flash. That's the kind of stuff it's usefull for.

If you can't tell, I'm not a big fan of Flash...at least not when it come to site design. But for cartoons, game-like things, etc...you know, just fooling around kinda stuff...then it's alright.
