Internet Support for bank downloads using Quicken

I have been using Quicken for Apple and have been trying to download info from a banking institution (First USA) into my Quicken. I keep getting a message in the Download Box saying 'o bytes downloaded....bad server response'. I have downloaded info in the past but it took many tries before I was successful. This time, I have tried about a dozen times with no success.

I have talked to Quicken and they can't seem to help and when talking to the internet department from First USA, they are telling me that their bank doesn't support downloads from Safari, only Internet Explorer.

Are you familiar with with? And if this is the case, how do I change to Internet Explorer? Going into Preferences, Safari seems to be the only choice I have. Can you please advise?

Sincerely,
Linda S. Morse

HI..

Unfortunately, MS no longer makes Internet Explorer available for the Mac. This is a huge issue for me as well - I would call Quicken again and ask how to connect to your bank - or even if they are on a list to connect to.

Call your bank and ask the same question but like this:
"Do you support downloading into quicken directly from Quicken?" And " Can I export my accounts to a text file from a browser?" Don't tell them which version of a browser or that you have a Mac and see how far you get...

THere are other browsers you can try too - www.mozilla.org - FireFox

Good luck.. frustrating, I know.
