Hi All,
I have an old i-mac, G4, 800Mhz, 256M, 60Gb and have been running Panther, which I bought sometime ago as an upgrade. I then bought a Airport Extreme and that was followed by a Tiger DVD... I have never been able to install Tiger, or therefore get the Airport working. Anyway I gave up the previous until now, as I have recently bought an i-phone and want to sync with my original imac i-tunes...
I have searched this forum and seen lots of good advice about how to install Tiger, inc running Disk Repair from the original Panther CDs. I haven't been able to do this (always get 'underlying task failure on exit, error 9972' etc) and have resorted to starting the imac in 'Safe mode' and then entering '/sbin/fsck -yf' this returns the error 'invalid extent entry (4, 893)', I'm now stuck and would appreciate any suggestions/help?
Thanks in advance!
