invitations in Pages 2

i'm new to iwork & mac os x for that matter.

i was using a template for an invitation in pages 2. (specifically the "announcement invitation") it's divided in to four quarters on a page all the same, but for the life of me i can't figure out how to change the text in one of the "templates" and have it change in all four sections. same issue with the picture. and then on the second page, isn't there a way to insert address book contacts without having to open address book, search name, copy, back to pages, paste? and then for the return address just select my address and have it update to all four quarters??

it's seems this should be an easy thing to do, but i don't know what i'm missing? it would actually seem kinda dumb if it weren't possible!

thanks in advance for any solutions.

To change the text itself, not the format, you would use the Find and Replace function. There are too many options to cover all of them here but you will find the instructions beginning on page 51 of the Pages User's Guide. In pages click on Help and then Pages Users Guide.

Pages integration with the iLife applications such as iPhoto and iMovie is obvious and simple, but unfortunately there is currently no integration with AddressBook. It may be possible to write an Applescript or even an Automator workflow to do this, but AFIK that has not happened - yet.

i'd thought of that but in this particular invitation the text to replace is on multiple lines that i'd like to change all at once AND the exact text appears on the second page where i don't want it changed to the same thing.

secondly, i just tried it and either i'm doing it wrong or pages doesn't recognize the "placehold" text when searching for find and replace?? how weird!

any other ideas??
