IP printer drivers

I am trying to connect a Canon i450 printer to my iBook using a Linksys print server. I have successfully added the print server to my wireless network, but I can only print to the Canon i450 when it is connected with a USB cable. When i try to add the printer as an IP connection, my computer does not "see" the printer driver (which i had installed twice just to make sure!)

Does anyone know how to solve this?

As eric2006 pointed out, you need a CUPS driver for your printer. To the best of my knowledge, PrintFab is the only source of CUPS print drivers for the Canon i450.

I don't think that Printfab is using the CUPS drivers. In any case for my Epson 740 printer Printfab performs much better that Gutenprint and its CUPS drivers. It is faster and offers more options. Of cource it is not free.

CUPS drivers refers to drivers written to use the CUPS system. There are various sources, and printfab.net is one of the sources of CUPS drivers.
