iPhone clone?

Man, that's pretty close. I actually even like the other phone as well as the iPhone. I guess it's that whole thing about imitation and flattery....that old chestnut. :p

I actually like the icons better on that Windows phone. The iPhone's icons are too colourful. Toyish, I find.

I also wonder when and where the device - if ever - will appear in the market.

lawsuit!

"We filed for over 200 patents for all the inventions in iPhone and we intend to protect them."

note: the bottom icons are in the EXACT same place. Also, why is the bottom cut off?

yikes, that is similar. Has a higher res screen and 3 MP camera though, which I'd like to see the iPhone copy.

Why does apple always skimp out on the resolution of their portable devices?

Well: That clone has over 200 ppi AFAIK and that's not "necessary" yet. I think the resolution for the iPhone is not too shabby per se. I _love_ watching video on my current iPod, so I'm sure I'd appreciate the (almost) widescreen higher resolution iPhone screen very much.

I noticed both devices have excatly number of icons. You see one icon is missing at the corner or bottom and right. Why?

Because there are eleven apps/links/whatever. I never quite understood why looprumors thinks there's "one secret missing app" on the iPhone. If anything, there are _five_ icons missing. It's really simple, isn't it. You have a grid of four icons per row, and by having 11 icons, you fill three rows with one icon "missing". If they had 13 icons, you'd have three full rows plus one on the left of the fourth row.

The fact that the "clone" has exactly 11 icons as well probably is intended. They wanted the picture to resemble the iPhone as closely as possible without having to talk to Apple about patents. It just _looks_ similar.

Apple should sue this Chinese manufacturer, it's literally a stolen copy of the Iphone. Even some Icons look very, very similar, take for example the Ical Icon and the calendar icon on the chinese thing. This has nothing to do with fair competition, this is theft! I still go for the Iphone as soon as it reaches the Netherlands, I am an electronic engineer myself and I know what the generic quality is of products which Chinese companies initiative their selves.... Mostly it's crap!
