What masking selection. Can't find a reference to this in the help or text files.

I may be calling it the wrong thing, but open a picture and selecting stuff from around it. The non-selected part gets dimmed out, and the selected part stays the same, like Photoshop. Cool, huh?

I think what you're referring to has been working since 1.0...
