Unofficial Mac Genius
MacNN.com is reporting that Apple has quietly released iPhoto 1.1.
They offer this link to the download.
UPDATE: Yes, indeed, that link gives you iPhoto 1.1. And I'm very impressed with this update. The desktop picture, screen saver, and mail "share" options are seemless. The desktop picture update is instantaneous, and the screen saver thing is too very nice. In addition, the mail "share" option is very nifty it allows you to set the size of the image so that the both the file size and the image is smaller, and automatically composes an e-mail with the picture in it and the title as the subject. Very nice.
One problem my grampa and I had with iPhoto 1.0 was that it wasn't using the data from the pictures that tells the date they were taken. Supposedly, from the release notes, this data will now be preserved, so I hope that we can now organize them by actual date of taking the picture. I e-mailed him about iPhoto 1.1, and I'll see what he says about it.
