iPhoto Folders

I understand that the reason for the update for iPhoto is so that the original files cannot be changed and that users will stop messing around with iPhoto's organization of pictures. However...

I recently got a digital picture frame. When I try to import the photos using the software the frame comes with (which I am required to use - it is not able to import the photos by dragging-and-dropping the files) I cannot access any of my photos. It shows a greyed out icon for iPhoto because it is not a folder but an application.

Is there any possible way to work around this? I'd really like to be able to use my new picture frame.

You'd have to export photos for it.

Could you give me more details?

Well, you can simply export photos to folders by dragging them to a folder. Then you can synch your photoframe to that folder.
