I have a MacBookPro (2009) 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM 1067MHz DDR3, 250 GB HD.
When I open iphoto everything is fine and switching between photos is fine from one thumb to another. I have 3000 pics or so. However, I edit them, enhance them, retouch them so that "ok" photos become better. Anyway, after editing a photo and then switching to the next one (the next thumb) the computer freezes and the rainbow colored ball appears and this takes several seconds and sometimes up to a minute or so. I often have to do a force quit. It used to do this only sometimes and now it does it all the time. What do I do???
