iPhoto headache

So i was in the process of beginning to export my 2010 photos from iPhoto to my external drive when suddenly all the photos in my iPhoto library vanished.

iPhoto library file opens easily, but none of the images are there. I find the iPhoto library in my user folder and can see all 87Gigs are there when I 'view package contents' or right click to 'get info' ...but I'm not sure how to bring them back into iPhoto?

Any insights?

have you tried to either right clicking on the photo or the folder the photos are in and click open with, or try going into iPhoto and go to file, import to library? let me know if either of those work for u
