iPhoto slideshows

I am currently running iPhoto 5.02, whenever I play a slideshow fullscreen, it changes my resolution on my monitor (17" crt) from 1024x768 to 800x600. It looks so crappy! I don't remember it doing it before. Is there some way that I could set the resolution to display them in? Or has anyone had this problem before? BTW, 450mhz B&W G3 16mb vram os10.4
