iPod as a back-up device

This may be the stupidest thing you've ever heard, but...

I'm travelling to England in mid June and don't really want to worry about my titanium for the whole trip, BUT I'll need to back up the ridiculous amount of digital pics I'll be taking to something and wondered:

Is there any way to dump Compact Flash card onto an iPod without a computer! ?

Thanks for not laughing at the ipod newbie!

p.s. this will be the last rationalization I'll need to buy an ipod::ha::

Does your camera have a USB or Firewire port? You could try that. Dunno if it would work though.

I have an Olympus digicam that uses Smart Media and have a USB reader from Microtech.com. I brought it with me when I was in Slovakia two years ago. Whenever I found an internet cafe I would go in and dump the pics from my camera onto the computer and then upload them to my website or email them to my account in the US. It worked pretty good. Most cafes I was in had USB compatable computers and I brought the software CD that came with the reader although you can download the driver thru the internet if the cafe allows you to install it.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback. I was hoping there was an iPod(code) and CF card reader combination that would work together without a computer in between. I suppose I'll try the internet cafe approach. Thanks again.
