ipod hard disk

Hi - Has anyone looked at upgrading iPod hard disks? I thought it would be an interesting project. Is there a source for the toshiba hard disks, and does anyone know anything about licensing issues - that is, is there any disk-based licensing a la Tivo that might be an issue?

Yes, it is no doubt cheaper and/or easier to just buy a new iPod.
