iPod Mini worth it despite problem?

I've read several reports of a major sound problem in the iPod Mini. If I understand it correctly, there is a hardware problem in the way the headphone jack connects to the circuit board. Am I the only one put off from buying a mini for this reason? Any happy or unhappy mini owners out there?

I would definitely wait instead of pouring in $250 right now for something that could only work for a few hours before you start having problems.

I was happy and now I have to buy one of the pink ones to get my wife to give me mine back ;-(

mine is fine but I would wait mayb untill July - Apple wouldnt release the product world wide with a mojor problem atleast by that time you will begarunteed a product which has the new better parts if they indeed change them!
