iPod not playing on different comps

I've had a bit of a search around and can't seem to find a simple answer to my question. I have auto sync turned on (on my iPod) and when I plug my iPod classic (120gB) into other macs all the music is grey and i can't play and songs?? It works fine on my mac, car AUX and iPod bucket.

Can someone help, i'm sure it's a matters of clicking 1 button.

When you have the auto sync on, you cannot play it on your computer. In order to play it on your computer, you have to change it to manually sync your music, then it will work.
