Ipod or Canon ZR85

I've been debating this for a while now, I want to get a Camcorder or get an iPod, after a few months of searching i picked out the Canon ZR85, best quality and DV/Firewire input, iMovie and iDVD I'm hoping i can payoff my laptop by november, but it's looking doubtful. What should i get first or should just wait till XMas or my birthday in March?

well here are my questions to you

1) how much music do you have
2) do you have more than one computer that needs to share the same info
3) what will you use the camera for
4) are you sure you wont just be making home movies and stuffing them in a closet later?

Something else to consider on the iPod would be how often could you actually listen to it.Do you have lots of down time in your day to plug-in & tune out the world?I see with the powerbook you are a mobile person so why not just listen to your tunes from that? Now on the ZR85 which I have btw, do you have also a large family?Is everybody familiar with technology in your house?I ask this so you won't freak anybody when you start "shooting".Plus to have many occasions to film.

I'm gonna get the iPod first, probably around october/novemberish, I listen to a ton of music i got about 7 - 8 GB of music on my PC, and about a gig on my powerbook. I just have to see what happens, I was hoping to pay off my laptop and buy a new car, but that's not happening anytime soon The whole thing is I want to get the ZR85 before i move out which won't be for a while now, cause i've decided to go for my Bachelor's of Degree in Arts. So I just have to see what happens, but the iPod, 4th Gen is the next "toy" i'm getting.

BTW I'm still a kid myself, only 21.
