iPod OS?

Is there a way to download the iPod OS onto my computer and make my own modifications?

Not that I know of, but there's probably some way to get the code. I doubt you can take it off of the iPod, though.

if you view the contents of the iPod... say with resorcerer, you will see an invisible folder iPod_control

inside there are iPod settings / device settings / music files

however the actual OS is hardwired into the iPod there is no way to get to it. It's not like a "system folder" on a disk for the Mac OS.

Good luck trying to get that shit off the updater.

Maybe try going dumpster diving at Pixo's headquarters? =)

Just to warn you, digging around in that iPod Control folder is practically guaranteed to screw things up...
