Does the iPod makes noise when the harddrive is spinning? And can you turn off the "clicking-sound" when scrolling?

yes, the hard disk spins and makes noise for about 10 seconds at a time while loading songs into RAM. No big whoop. The drive is so quiet, you have to put it up to your ear to really hear it spinning.

And yes, you can turn off the clicky-scrolly sound under "settings."
 
Yeah, the iPod is definitely the most quiet hard disk I've ever heard... or, rather, not heard at all. ;)

Why ya so worried about noise? Work in libraries often?
 
I thought I heard a noise from an I was playing with iPod accessing it's disk, but by the time I held it up to my ear, it was gone :p
I guess it loads up into RAM pretty quickly :)
