Is ANYONE doing Bluetooth?

OK, I finally dumped that old Nokia 5165 (it really was time), and picked up a spiffy new Sony Ericsson T616. It's got Bluetooth, which is very spiffy. I had to buy a Bluetooth adapter (an Ambicom).

So... Apple's built-in Bluetooth support (Mac OS 10.3.2) appears to be pretty good except for a sleep issue (more on that later if it persists). I can use iSync to sync up the contacts I have in Address Book, but I'd rather use Entourage.

Does anybody know if Entourage supports Bluetooth? Anybody else have a bluetooth phone? How do YOU use it? I'd love to be able to keep my phone in my pocket, and when it gets within range of my computer, things automagically update without clicking anything. I'm a little ways away from that dream now.

My other thread isn't doing so hot in the software thread, so I'm really wondering if anybody is even messing with Bluetooth.

My problem is that the Bluetooth adapter I bought freezes my system when I try to put it to sleep. Taking the adapter out of the USB port solves the problem. I am using a USB 2.0 PCI card (my keyboard port doesn't have enough power, apparently). I have not tried the 2 standard USB ports on my G4 yet.

My question is; Is anybody out there actively using Bluetooth in Mac OS X? What programs do you use with it? What adapter (if it's not built-in) do you use? And of course, can I do anything to fix my particular problem.

Yeah. my PB 12" has it built in. I use a bluetooth apple pro mouse and my cellfone works with it.

I have a KeySpan USB adapter and never had any problems with it on 3 different Macs. Use it for my pda and cell phone.

I was using BlueTooth, it's cool, but I can't find my dongle! I had the same problem with the USB port on my keyboard, it should be fine if you use a built in port on your G4. I mostly use BT for syncing numbers etc on my phone (T610), Clicker is cool too.

I use BT with iSync and my P800, works ok BUT initially i had a no-name USB-hub and had _lots_ of problems. When i tried with a D-Link USB-hub everything worked ok. Needless to say I ritually smashed the old hub to pieces.

I'm using DLink DBT-120 Bluetooth adapter with my Nokia 6210i.

I can send and receive text messages through Address Book and answer calls through my iBook ['cause it has a built in mic]

All really cool stuff...

same as heathpitts - I've got bluetooth in my pb. salling clicker, isync (address book and calendar), and I've setup my pb to use my cellphone as a modem when I'm not connected to a network and need internet access. that's about the nerdiest use I have, but I rarely need it that way.

How do you connect to a network via bluetooth? I'ven't asked AT&T how to do it yet. I've the T616 and powerbook g4. I've mMode so is that needed for connecting to network? Do I need another dialup service like sbc yahoo or road runner?

to tell you the truth, I'm not sure if I'm actually using the dial up account (that I get through my dsl provider for free), or the cell phone service. Here's why I'm confused:
in the internet connect/bluetooth setup/network settings, I've got all the login info for my dial in account. But instead of it dialing a number, it has to actually go through wap.voicestream.net as the 'telephone number' that it 'dials'. I know, sounds weird, but it works!

check these pages out for some help -they're the ones I used to get it up and running:

Oh yeah, I've got a t-mobile/SE T610 with my 17"pb, just for specifics purposes.
