Is it possible : sound card in a G4 Xserve?

Probably because no one has an answer for you.
Doing a google search I found this:

"dual 1.33GHz G4 Xserve that is fitted with a M-Audio Audiophile 192 PCI card. This works well but is expensive new (I got mine used). The only complaint (as a general purpose sound card) you have to use the M-Audio app to change the volume - the normal volume controls don't work."

Can't one simply use an iMic for both Audio input and output? The Xserve's not exactly well-equipped for use in a recording studio, since it itself is a thrombone permanently hitting that _one_ tone not used in the song one might want to record. ;) (It's loud.)

Generally the Xserve does not come with a sound card. No input or output.

Its a dp 1gh 750gb G4. I use it for storage of video and music.
Its in My garage with My boat and motorcycles. So when I'm tinkering in there
It would be nice to access my music.
I don't like wireless or I would use an Airport. I guess I'll just have to hardwire
some audio cables from the upstairs office. Setup a playlist and let it roll.
I like the M-Audio idea.
