I currently own an intel imac 1.83GHz and play lots of games, so I want to make it a faster computer. Would it be possible for me to replace the intel 1.83 GHz with an intel core 2 duo 2.33GHz processor?

I think you can but you might end up voiding your warranty. It's up to you.
