Hi, I am thinking of buying a iBook, and I was looking at this model:

Summary
• 640MB SDRAM - 2 SO DIMMs
• 40GB Ultra ATA
• DVD/CD-RW
• Keyboard & Mac OS
• iBook 700MHz
• 14.1-inch TFT display
• 10/100BASE-T Ethernet
• 56K internal modem
• VGA video output
• Two USB ports
• FireWire port
• Power Adapter
• Battery

This is my first mac, surfing, e-mail and learning osx. Is it any good? How is osx going tu run on this.
Please help.

Your choice of iBok will be fine. I still use an old clamshell iBook and have no problems with 384MB RAM. I am getting a little tight with only a 20GB HDD but 40GB should be fine.

It won't be the quickest computer in the world, but it will run fine, and Jaguar will work fine on it.

Hvor i Norge ar du? I am in Oslo currently.

The 14 incher's the way to go - these are cool machines (we have a 600 at work). Only thing that seems to slow it down is the hard drive cos they (the one we have at least) have 4200rpm drives - better drive performance on my PBG3 with an IBM Travelstar 5400rpm drive. Other than that, go for it - it's easily good enough for your needs and with OS X will be a joy to use.

Go for it :)
I'd personally prefer the 12" model, which is much smaller and a lot more elegant than the 14".

Bare pass på å ikke betale for mye -Office Line f. eks. tar flere tusen mer enn standard Apple-pris.
