iSight & GarageBand

I was wondering if anyone knows of a work-around for a problem I kinda have...
I have a band here at college. Just me and 4 otehr friends. We've used my G5 along with GarageBand to record a few things (they still need some touching up). problem is, I can record the Guitar and Bass right here in my dorm room... but I don't have a mic. so I have to lug the G5 half-way across campus to the coffee house where we practice, just to record Drums and Vocals. I have an iSight which HAS a microphone. But it seems you can't use it in conjunction with Garage Band because it's "not 44.1" or whatever. I think the iSight would be good for recording vocals (since it has that whole noise-cancellation thing). Does anyone know of a way to get the iSight to WORK in Garage Band??
Thanks

well, this is just an ugly possible work-around, but what if you used your isight to record, and then Rogue Amoeba's Audio Hijack Pro to record and save down the audio in the format/sampling rate you desire?
Then import the output/save from AHP into Garage Band.

like I said, not elegant, but it may be worth a try...

Interesting idea. I'll try it out and let you know how well it works
:)
Thanks!
