isync without .mac?

Is it possible to use isync just to work with ical and a palm without using .mac?

yes. I use it to sync my iCal/Addressbook with my palm and iPod.

Having trouble getting this set up.

I downloaded,

isync,
isync palm conduit,
ical,
address book, (think I already had that one)
and Palm Desktop 4.0.2,

however, when I try to install isync palm conduit, it tells me I need to install Palm Desktop 4.0 or higher first... but... it is...

Alright, I installed Palm Desktop and now I was able to install Palm Conduit successfully.

However, when I run iSync, and select the 'Add Device' option, it searches for a device, but comes up empty.

I guess I need to add my palm hear to get it to sync?

Actually I have a Sony Clie N600, if that matters. I have successfuly synced with Palm Desktop in the past.

I notice it says that in order to use iSync with a palm device HotSync must be installed. Got that.

Anyone else know about this?

Finally got that working! Now I'm syncing with iCal and Address book.


One question. When I sync like this, where does the data from my Palm Memo_pad application, and the task list app go?
