It works just fine...

You can also edit your post -- when you do that there's an option to delete. Which you may still decide to do (there's a note that says that if you delete the first post in a thread, the thread will disappear...).

Just a friendly FYI...
 
uh, I meant that you still have the ability to do that now. Go ahead, press that little Edit button, click in the checkbox (kind of like an 'are you sure?' box) then press delete.

Should go *poof*!
