iTMS, iTunes & the Future

Quicksilver

Find a golden apple.
Ok. now that there is a major growth about to start with iTunes for windows which also means a growth in the music industry downloads sceen. What about the local music stores, when this really takes off? Say in a few years from now when simple local music stores start to feel the heat?

just think in 10, 15 mabey 20 years there could be no such thing as a music store in you local area.

Mabey apple should release a licenced "music station" that is located in these music stores for downloading. Where the music store recieves a small portion of income, it would also better apples stand in the competition having a hardware system ready and available for consumors to utilise syncronising with the ipod and their home system.

what do you think?

What about the 8 Tracks? What about the vinyl records and the cassettes? Sure, it still took people in a brick-and-mortar store to sell these, but what about the people who made the media? Do you think they all make CD's now?

Times change, technology changes, and the job markets adapt to the new technology. I think the people who work at these stores will find new work in time as brick-and-mortar music stores fade in number, or change their aims.
