Ok, the run-down...
I am running OS X 10.3.9, Pro-Tools 6.4
I have read the threads about downloading the new pro-tools core audio driver and the reinstall of 6.5.2 for quicktime.
However, it won't work. The reinstall says there is not a valid version of QuickTimes on my hard drive - when there is. And I cannot use the core audio driver for pro-tools as I have an unsupported hardware interface.
So I have un-installed and re-installed itunes and quicktimes and tried to run that re-installer a million times. I have performed disk repair as well.
How do I get the re-installer to recognize QuickTime 7.0 on my hard drive so that I can get back to 6.5.2?
Or, can I get my computer back to the way it was pre-itunes upgrade and quicktime upgrade?
I don't want to have to do a clean install, because the box is so old, that it came with 10.1 - and I don't have the upgrades for 10.2 - 10.3.
So I am really frustrated. I can't seem to get these apps completely off my computer to start all over...
