Okay, I tried to "search" the forums here with no luck (though I'm sure something similar to my question has been asked, so sorry in advance!)
I have an mp3 cd that was created on a pc and I want to add its contents to my Itunes library (on my powerbook G4) and my iPod. For some reason "import" to iTunes will not allow me to select the songs. I have simply copied the disk's contents to my desktop and I can play the songs with iTunes or QuickTime.
What is going on? how do I import these? I've read about converting the file type and all this jazz, but don't know how to do that either!?!?!
One last thing...I have experienced similar stuff with moving songs from a networked pc containing wma's. Any ideas around this? I've read somewhere (here I think) that you can simply trash some iTunes preference file and the next time you open iTunes it will look for all songs and convert/import them for you (like it does with the 1st power up out of the box)...anyone know of this and where to find that magic little preference file?
Thanks b16
