iTunes rating missing..

why the rating is not stored in iTunes? I mean in the main database in tracks.. When you uninstall and reinstall the program you find no ratings included..! Do I have to make a special movement in order to recover my ratings.. or change a setting?

The ratings are stored in the iTunes Library file. It's located in (home folder)/Music/iTunes. If you delete and reinstall your music library without restoring that file, your ratings will be lost.

In future, if you need to do a backup/restore of iTunes, be sure to grab the *entire* iTunes folder, not just the iTunes Music folder.
 
In the I tunes Library file are my playlists also saved?..
How can I restore them? I saved that file.. I didn't trashed it!
 
Yes, your playlists are also saved in that file.
If you need to restore your ratings and playlists and you have that file, just backup the current copy of the file (in case something goes wrong) then replace it with the old one from backup.
