iTunes, Sony, Burning & OSX

OK.
I just sold my old car (YAY!) so on tuesday (monday's a holiday here) i'm gonna ring this apple solutions guy, get him to make me up his dinky dye Sony-in-a-box burners, and then im gonna burn my not-quite-legal copy of X and install the b*tch. NOW. My brother and i both have JVC SH-99R cd players in our cars. basically they have MP3 capabilities. anyways. so im gonna rip every damn cd i can get my hands on from everyone we know (aboot 210 cds so far) with iTunes and then burn them back to MP3 cds. Now, i'm gonna have to get another hdd, cus the cds will more than fill 20 gig. anyways. does anyone have any experience with Sony burners, (24x10x40) and or using iTunes under X? i dont wanna get it all setup and have it sh*t itself.

thanks

QP

All that gear and you can't get a legit copy of X? Oh, well ...
What kind of sys are you running and how is your Sony burner connected?

You'll find iTunes quite good. Make sure you turn on automated CDDB lookup so you can save yourself most of the typing, also there is an option to automatically start ripping when a CD is inserted. Esp. on slower systems you will want to cut out all other apps and even the "start playback when ripping" option.
Make a few piles / boxes:
CDs to be done
CDs completed
CDs that failed because they were scratched (try again but skip the damaged track)
CDs that didn't have any CDDB info (you have to type track names)

The G4 i bought with money my mum gave me. Anyways. The burner will be FireWire. And as for the stuff aboot CDDB & auto rip i already know but thanks anyways.
