iTunes tags. Help me.

There's a way to disable ID3 tags on iTunes?
Many of my songs have tag track01 or somethind else and I'd like to view song file name in song name column as I can do on PC Winamp.

I know that I can change them one by one, but they are too much.

Any idea?
 
Did you try getting the CD Track names from the Advanced Pulldown Menu. Only works though when you are online. However once you have them you have them forever.
 
Select all, Get Info and check the field that you want to erase (and don't put any text in there), that should make it display the filename instead.

Heheh, I thought about that, too, but guess what? There's no "Song" field to edit when you select multiple files! Apple thinks they're being smart by not letting you rename a bunch of files the same song title... figures...

Maybe this is worth a shot, though... Select the multiple files, and from the "Advanced" menu, choose "Conver ID3 Tags..." In the box that comes up, check "ID3 tag version" and select "none"... Maybe that will work?
