Apple said consumers bought and downloaded 1.5 million songs during the same period that Napster reported selling 300,000 songs.

Does this mean Apple sold 1.5 mil during Napster's first week (when they sold 300K) or that Apple sold 1.5 during Apple's own first week?

If Apple's comparing their launch months ago vs. Napster's launch this month it's really not a TRUE apples to apples comparison (pun intended).
