iTunes Visuals

ok when i go in to iTunes Visuals i know that i can change all the stuff i see by using: Q&W, A&S, and Z&X. I can change everything when a song is playing but if there is no music and i use Q&W or Z&X it auto selects none and i can't change it again untill i play music anyone know whats wrong?

Go to http://www.55ware.com and download and install G-Force. It's faster, smoother, and more appealing than Apple's visuals. I think Apple's visual plugin is based on this guy's work. The author of this visual plugin is going to be releasing a newer version soon with some really cool waveshapes and deltafields.

As for the iTunes vis, did you know that you can use Shift with the number-keys to set a combination into a preset (0-9), and then just press that num key to call it up? Using the M key to cycle modes, there is one for "user preset" which goes through these presets in order.
Of course, G-force is pretty cool, too!
