Itunes won't launch after update (I know I'm not alone, but...)

Why won't Itunes open after my recent update? I've heard of other folks having the same problem. I'm trying to run 6.0.3 on OSX 10.3.9. Itunes won't launch from the "pop up" menu or applications menu. For a while I was able to remedy with clicking on an Itunes-linked file or by plugging my Ipod into the Firewire jack. Now nothing. Just a "not-responding" note when I bring up the force-quit screen. This is happening on my G4 Powerbook AND a dual-G4 tower I recently software updated. I've tried running disk permissions, deleting Itunes-related .pkg and .plist files--everything all the forums say. And various combinations of restarting, deleting Itunes and reinstalling. New and old versions. And the same thing seems to be happening with Quicktime. Please help if you can. My career depends upon it!

I have the same problems. Did you find help or have fiqured what the problem was? It's also putting my productivity on hold, people are waiting on me.
