Thanks with the help with the slowdown problem. Now this has reared it's ugly head. When attempting to launce iTunes 3.0.1, which worked perfectly the last 500 times, I now get this error "The iTunes Music Library File cannot be read because it does not appear to be a valid library file." All of my music is still in my music folder. Any suggestions?

The library file is only an XML document that keeps track of where your mp3's are. It should be perfectly fine to delete the library file and have itunes recreate it. Other than that, if you're pretty savvy in XML you can try to repair it yourself.
