I've got problems with DHCP under Mac OS X

Since a few days I'm unable to connect to internet via MacOS X (but I can via launching MacOS 9 at start). I've got a cable modem connected on the Ethernet internal card, and as usual my configuration is set at "DHCP", in the Network panel (system prefs), and as usual once again it shows IP addresses that look like being good ones.
But as I try to connect to internet, my browsers, etc. shows messages like "unable to find the requested page",... It is not just a problem with Internet Explorer, all my programs doesn't work...

Does anyone know what I could do? I've checked all I could, re-installed MacOS X, and I still don't find the error and that becomes VERY boring...

Please help me if you can!

you first need to figure out if its simply a
IP naming issue (ie. DNS) or whether you
really have a problem.

try going to any web page using it's numerical
IP address instead of its usual name. If
that works, thats telling you you're not
getting nameserver information from your
ISP via DHCP. Check the contents of the
/etc/resolv.conf file and also the output
of 'ifconfig -a'
