I thought that Steve Jobs only accepted a paycheck of $1 a year? Or was this only when Apple wasn't doing as well as it is now?

Nope, the 50 mio bonus was the plane. But that was two years ago, I believe.

Jobs base salary is $1. The rest is bonus in several forms: stock options and cash.

I believe Steve Jobs is one of the worlds richest anarchists - he has enough money to live like a god for centuries, yet he does a good job :p

$86 million I think. A Gulfstream V. That was in 2000.

Apple Computer paid Steve more than $1.2 million for the use of a Gulfstream V jet it bought for him two years ago. Apple paid nearly $90 million for the jet, taxes and its delivery.

Of course, $1.2 million isn't a whole lot in terms of CEO salery ... That's where Pixar comes in where Steve made his new fortune: Jobs owns 30,000,001 shares of Pixar, currently valued at $1,563,000,000. The shares increased in value by about $690,000,000 in 2002. Which is a lot ...
