KDE and Gnome on X11

Just wanted to confirm, can KDE and Gnome co-exist peacefully using X11 and Fink?

Also, I've got KDE installed and just want to compare it to Gnome. I'm not sure which Gnome package to install. Any clues?

well, i can't say whether gnome and kde coexist happily but they do coexist
i have some serious stability issues with kde, but i installed gnome first so i odn't know whether they're inherent in kde or because of gnome. also, i'm running the current unstable of both kde and gnome so that might be the problem :)

the install gnome, install the bundle-gnome package. its a convenience package -- nothing actually in it, but it depends on all the files you'll need to run gnome

I installed kde first and then gnome. kde works great and gnome will not start. gnome only gets to the splash screen and then hangs. oh well:rolleyes:

OK, is there a simple way to remove KDE short of digging around for all of its files?

Or I may stick with KDE for now. I'm not really using it, just learning what's what.
