I am a new user of the macintosh computer. I am having a problem with the kernel panic at startup. I wanted to change the administrative password on OS X, but instead I made a mistake and ran the installer. Towards the end of the installation program, the message "could not delete folder" came up. I quit the installer and tried to restart the computer but instead got the kernel panic during startup. My question is how can I get the system back running? I've never used OS X, so I don't have any files on that system. Should I delete that system and reinstall it? If so, how, and will deleting OS X affect OS 9 because my OS 9.2 has very important files and programs on it, so this info is very crucial. I would really appreciate the help because this is very frustrating.
Thanks.
P.S. If this info is useful, then the type of computer that I am using an iMac G3 computer and I have both Mac OS 9.2 and Mac OS X 10.0.4 installed it.
Thanks.
