Kodak Phoo CD under OS X

Hi,

There used to be a small extension that allowed OS 9 and below to mount not only Photo CD images, but also see folders on the photo CD that I have with the images at different resolutions.

Unfortunately I can no longer see these folders under OS 10.1.2, nor mount them fro Photoshop running in Classic mode. Yet when I boot back into OS 9.2, I can see the folders and mount images etc.

Does anyone know how I can do this under OS X?

Thanks,
Andrew

I tried to insert an old cd I got from a Photo-shop (I don't know if it is a PhotoCD) And inside it was a few PC-files and 4 folders. "HiRes" "MedRes" "LowRes" and "Thumbnails"
Inside the different folders, there was pictures in differen resolutions. The HighResolution ones looked nice the only problem whith all the images on the cd was that they are upside down! So I had to flip everyone vertically!

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately this extension did not help under Classic, and I still cant get access under OSX to these images. Have also tried graphic converter under OSX, but that doesn't see the folders with images at different resolutions. The files are actually compressed with some form of Kodak image viewing software, and it looks like the old extension under 9.2 is still the only way to get access to these.

Its a pity that OS X doesnt let you get into these images though. I wonder how many out there have images on photoCDs?

guess i didn't quite get that the problem was very specific to your 'kodak moments'. sounds like something you shuld bitch to kodak about. they should have to keep up like everybody else.:(
