Lack of Audio-In socket on iBook

Hi folks,
I have here a "Labtec Stereo 342 Headset" which has an Audio-Out line, and an Audio-In line.
As a pair of headphones, it works great. I plug the Headphone/Audio-Out line into the appropriate socket of my 12" iBook and away I go.
The problem is that my iBook has no other sockets. All the other ports are for USB/Firewire/whatever. There is only one that is suitable for the cables on the headset, and it only works with the Audio-Out line.
Plugging the Microphone/Audio-In into the Headphone socket/port on the iBook does nothing.

What can I do?
Can I get some kind of splitter or adaptor?
Must I find myself another headset that will work via, USB, for example..?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Or you can pickup an USB iMic from Griffin Technologies. The device provies both a line in and line out. Works well and is really cheap.

The USB iMic seems to be what I was hoping for, yet it seems to cost more than the headset.
It may work out cheaper to just buy a USB headset, especially if I can sell the Labtec headset on eBay.

Thanks for the help, both of you.
