I have a Titanium 800Mhz G4 powerbook. I have my trackpad settings with all the checkboxes checked: clicking, draggin, drag lock, ignore accidental trackpad input, and ingnore trackpad when mouse is present. I do not have a mouse present.
I often get mouse down events when I rest my palms on the areas where your palms are suppose to rest. It is very annoying. It seems like this has been discussed before but I can't remember the results.
So, two questions:
Do the newer machines have this same problem or did Apple figure out a way to prevent this?
Is there any reasonable solution to this problem with the machine I have? I could drag around a mouse everywhere I go -- its not that big of a pain. But I'd rather not.
Thanks,
