Our university has a ldap server that has all users and passwords.
I want to enable the users to logon to my machine.
I'm having difficulties finding out how to do this. Until now I have done the following things:
- I added the LDAPAgent in NetInfo
- I installed the lookupd fix
I can now look up an ldap user in "lookupd -d". And I can find them with the id command. (eg "id dongelen").
But the ldap-users are still not able to login.
What do I have to do to enable the ldap-users to login?
Does this have something to do with gid uid numbers?
Does osx need a password to authenticate using ldap?
